Jo Ann Lordahl, PhD. is a published author, poet, workshop leader, and speaker. She has produced a breadth of published work, including prize-winning poetry, a lyric play Four Women Speak, and over 20 books: nine non-fiction, five novels, six romances, six poetry.

If you want to try this author, this is one of my favorites:

Jo Ann said, “Princess Ruth had my heart as soon as I saw her on the cover of The High Chiefess: Ruth Keelikolani. This is the story of Princess Ruth, the richest woman in Hawaii, and how Samantha, a haole newcomer, settles into renewed love and life on Kauai, the oldest, most spiritual of the islands. Major themes are GMOs, Hawaii’s fateful history and women’s special stories including Princess Ruth stopping a fiery volcano cold in its tracks.
Kauai’s natural beauty, places and the forbidden island of Niihau are interwoven. Princess Ruth: Love and Tragedy in Hawaii features a map of Hawaii, many factual endnotes, a book list of resources, and a chronology of Hawaiian royalty from antiquity.

Jo Ann has a brand new web site. Check it out!    https://joannlordahl.com/ She is currently working on a novel and Suncoast Digital Press will be publishing a collection of her poems very soon.

Jo Ann has been a keynote speaker in redesigning life through spirituality, transformational thinking and writing at the National League of American PEN Women and money workshops at Smith College. She has also coordinated Women’s Voices, a performance-based poetry group in Florida.

Art fellowships and residencies include The Atlantic Center for the Arts, FL; Dorland Mountain Arts Colony, CA; Ucross, WY.

This book of Jo Ann’s is a great book to give as a gift:
